Essay 10 Re-Write

Ever watched how people treat their dogs?  I have seen how many people have treated their dogs and it disgust me.  I have seen people that decided they needed dogs just to say they have a dog and when no one is around they ignore it. I have also seen people that have gotten dogs to just leave them home all day long.  What disgust me the most is when people get dogs and can’t afford them.  Dogs are a big responsibility and even though they don’t talk and can’t tell people that there not being taken care of when they need help they still need to be taken care of. 

                There are a lot of people that have dogs that ignore them that leave them tied outside all the time even in bad weather.  There is no reason why a dog, or any animal that should be left out side in the cold weather.  I knew a couple that had two dogs that left their dog outside all year long and never brought them inside.  Just thinking about it makes me disgusted and sick to my stomach.

                 Another thing that disgusts me is when people decided to get dogs when they work all the time and leave them in a cage all day when they’re gone.   Don’t get me wrong I think it’s ok to train you dog in a cage but don’t think they should be put in a cage all day everyday well people are gone and wonder why there bad when hyper when they get out of the cage.  Dogs have energy that they can’t get rid of when sitting in a cage all day. 

                The thing that disgusts me the most is when people get dogs and can’t afford them.   A dog has needs like a person.  They need to be fed and groomed at least once every two months.  They have to be licensed, neutered and have shots that all add up and can be quite expensive.  Along with all the unexpected emergencies that could happen.   There are a lot of people out there that let their dogs suffer with an illness because they can’t afford to take them to the vet. 

                Maybe it’s just me that get’s disgusted watching people treat their dogs bad.  I’m a dog lover and always will be.  I have had dogs in myself ever since I was four and maybe that’s why I hate seeing them treated badly.   Don’t get me wrong though it’s not just dogs no animal should be treated badly.  I wish I could save every dog that is not treated well but you and I both know that’s not possible.  Treat my dog like he’s my child, I buy him treats and toys all the time. I take him everywhere with me and never leave him home.  

Essay 10

What makes a person decide they want a dog?  I mean people don’t just wake up and decided they want a dog right?  When I looked into getting a dog there were three main things that I looked into before deciding to get a dog.  First of all I started off by asking myself why I want a dog.   Is it just to say I have one?  The second question I asked myself was am I home enough to have one?  The last and most important question I asked myself was can I afford one?   Will I be able to provide it with food and anything other important he or she may need to survive.  

                When I first thought about getting a dog I asked myself why I want a dog.  Is it just so I can say I have one and to show off to people and to ignore when no one is around? There are a lot of people that have dogs that ignore them that leave them tied outside all the time even  in bad weather.

Cause Essay Re-do

There were many different ideas that went through my husbands and I heads when picking our wedding date. For example do we want to have to worry about it snowing and people not being able to attend our wedding, do we want to be able to use bright summer colors or do we want to get married in the spring when the snow is starting to melt and it’s starting to warm up.
When we were deciding on our wedding day we really thought we wanted a winter wedding. At the same time we can to realize that we live in Maine that one day it could be sunny and bright out and the next minute we could be having a blizzard. Therefore there could be a chance that we could have a snow storm on our wedding day and no one would be able to attend.
Another idea that went through our heads was did we want to use bright colors such as pink, orange, yellow and lime green as our colors. If we were to choose to have our wedding in the summer those were the colors we would have had to use. Since you very well can’t use dark colors in the summer. So If we wanted more of the darker colors wouldn’t be able to have a summer wedding.
The last thing that went through our heads were whether or not we wanted to get married in the spring where the weather is more cooler and manageable, but is also when the snows melting and everything’s muddy. The big question is did we want to have to worry about getting muddy before we get married and did we want to have outdoors pictures we bare trees in the background.
After we talked about what we wanted we decided we would have a fall wedding when it wouldn’t be too hot and people would be comfortable. A good thing about having a fall wedding is all the pretty colors of the leaves that will be changing and all the wonderful pictures that will come along with it. We also decided that even though we really wanted a winter wedding it was more important to have our loved ones present to witness our special day, and wasn’t willing to take the change of having a snow storm and not having them there. That is why we decided to make the decided to have a Fall wedding.

Process Essay

There is a process I take every year when it’s time to put up our Christmas tree.   First I have to clean a place for the tree, second I have to get the tree and my last is to get all the ornaments for the tree.  My goal is to make my tree look better than the previous year.

                This year is a little different from previous years.  This is my husbands and I’s first Christmas living together.  The first step we took to putting our tree up was cleaning a place for our tree, which in our case means having to mean future.  Our living room is very small it’s about 12x 12 but it’s open and you can see into the kitchen and dining room.   We have a 51 inch TV that was in the left corner that we had to move to the middle of the back wall so the tree could go in the corner where the TV was.    We got lucky and didn’t have to move too much.  From there were had to sweep since there were a lot of dust were the TV previously was. 

                From there we go to the basement and drag up the Christmas tree.  The Christmas tree is stored in a big red bag and is about 25 pounds which makes it kind of hard to carry up the stairs so it takes two to carry up.   After we got the tree up from the basement we have to unzip the bag and start putting the tree up piece by piece.  After the tree is up we put the lights on.  When it comes to the lights we have a system we use.   My husband and I stand to different sides of the tree is pass the clear lights back and forth till the lights are covering the tree completely.  We use three set of lights to cover the whole tree. 

                The third and final step is to go back down to the basement and get the red and green storage box of ornaments.    When we get them up from the basement we take the cover off and start placing the ornaments on the tree one by one.   We use silver and blue glitter ornaments and plan silver and blue ornaments.  We cover the tree completely so there is very little empty space on the tree.

                It sounds like a fast and easy process but it doesn’t take up a lot of time.  The longest process is putting the ornaments on the tree but it is all worth it in the end.  This year was extra special since it was the first time my husband had our own tree.  The best part of all is that its quality time just my husband and I spent together.   At the end of the day when were sitting with just the tree lit up its clear to see that I have meat my goal of having a better tree then the previous year, not because its prettier but because it’s just how we wanted it.  

Effect Essay

When I was in high school there was this one teacher that would always pick on me. He was my math teacher.   I guess we could say it took me a little longer to get the hang of things than normal people but once I got the hang of what I was doing I did pretty well. He was one of those teachers that had his favorite students and I diffidently wasn’t one of them.  There were days when I woke up that I would dread going to school since I knew I was going to have to go to his class.  What made him be the worst teacher was that   I would be sitting in class paying attention like I’m suppose to and trying to learn what we were doing and he would call on me every time and I since I didn’t know what I was doing he made me look like I was stupid in front of the whole class. There would even be students that were talking to each other and not paying attention but that didn’t matter.    Because of him I now I have no confidence in myself, I never learn anything in class and it’s taking me longer to graduate from college. 

                I have no confidence in my work.  I stress about doing my home work I stress about whether or not I’m doing it right and  what the teacher is going to think if I didn’t to my home work right.  Whenever anyone ask me to do something for them I make up some excuse to why I can’t do it because I’m afraid I’m going to do it wrong.

                I never did learn anything in math class.  Instead of trying to learn like most students do during class I was sitting there worrying weather or not I was going to be called on and if I was if I was going to know the answer or if I was going to make a foul out of myself.  I find that I learn more when I know I’m not going to have to worry about whether or not I’m going to be called on since I can actually pay attention to what the teacher is doing. 

                Since I have such a bad experience in high school I have been in college for 4 years, what’s wrong with that right?  Well my program is only two years.  Since  I’m afraid of making a foul out of myself  and worrying about what people think of me I decided to take only online classes  which isn’t bad but when the classes I need are only offered certain semesters or if there even offered online It takes a little longer to graduate. 

Let’s just say that teacher has made me school life a lot harder than it should be.   I’ve even had an anxiety attacks and have had to take medications.  Maybe I should just think about myself and not worry about what everyone else thinks about me.   I should realize that I not everyone is going to now every answer of any problem and that sometimes it takes people longer than others to catch on to things.

Background

I’m writing about planning a wedding. Where you can get less expensive decorations and flowers, where you can find cheap wedding gowns and where you can find your food that won’t leave you broke after purchasing.    When I got engaged I never thought it would be so much work.  I always heard people say how stressful it was but I just thought to myself it can’t really be that hard all you have to do is find a venue, a wedding gown and flowers.   None of the other stuff make the wedding as long as you getting married to the man of your dreams nothing else matters right?

Why am I writing?

I’m writing this because much to my surprise wedding planning wasn’t as easy as I thought.  There were a lot of unanswered questions that I had.  I asked couples that had already gotten married and have went through the wedding planning process.  The only problem I came to with asking them was I always got a different answer and never knew which answer was right, or is there even are right answers?  The questions I had were

          -How many people is the right amount of people to invite?

                -Is there a right amount?  

-How do you pick the wedding colors?

                -Can you have more than two colors?

-How many flower girls can I have?

                -Do you need flower girls?

-Can you have more than one maid of honor?   

                -How do you pick your maid of honor?

-How much should you spend on flowers?

                -Can you make them yourself to save money?

-How can we keep under budget?   

                   -What if we go over budget?

What do I know?

          My knowledge about planning a wedding is very limited.  I have been to a couple of weddings and was also in a wedding when I was four but for that reason I don’t remember much of it.  I was also in a wedding a year ago I was I was a bridesmaid but lived an hour away from the bride so didn’t get to help with much of the planning.  I do know that it isn’t cheap planning a wedding. 

The search

          After looking at many magazines and not finding any of the answers to my questions I decided to move onto the internet.  After searching the internet for about an half an hour I found a website that had everything I needed to know.   It’s called theknot.  It has everything anyone would ever need to know about planning a wedding.  It gives you colors ideas, local venues, honeymoon ideas and so much more.  There was also one lady that was able to help me.  She had actually helped my cousin plan her wedding.  Since my cousin couldn’t afford very much she helped make a lot of the decoration for half the price it would of cost her to buy them.

What I’ve learned

          Before I started researching about wedding I knew nothing besides the basic wedding planning.  I’ve learned where I could get a less expensive wedding gown, how I could save money on flowers and decorations and where to buy the food for the reception that wouldn’t leave us broke.  I have also learned about colors, how many flowers girls and maid or honors you should have

Wedding Gown- When I was looking into getting my wedding gown I first started looking at a local Bridal salon called Avanti’s.  It’s what located right in the town I live in.  While looking at gowns at Avanti’s I noticed that the dress were in the higher range of my budget.   So I decided I was going to travel an hour to look at other bridal salons and see how their prices were.   After I started looking I noticed that there wasn’t much of a difference in the prices, there was normally only a $50 difference and by the time I had to pay for gas to go back and forth to my fittings I figured I would be better off just to spend the extra money and get it in the town I live in.  I also learned that there are many different types of wedding gowns.  There are A-line/princess, mermaid, empire, and ball gown style gowns.  I learned that if you’re shaped like an hour glass and have a big chest, big hips and tiny waist then A-line is going to look the best on you.  A-line is going to show off you figure.  The A-line dress is fitted around the hips and flows out to the ground.  A-line can hide a rounder lower body.  The Mermaid style is a sexier style that highlights your curves.  It fit tightly to just below you hips then flares out.  Normally people who are confident with their body and are slender, short and even tall women can pull this style dress off.  Last but not lease is the Ball Gown.  The Ball gown has a full skirt it can be either one piece or separate.  Slender and pair shaped women can pull the ball gown off best.   The ball gown is normally for traditional weddings and can be paired with either a long veil or white long gloves. 

Guest- After doing some research I found out that there isn’t a right and wrong amount of guest to invite.  Everyone has a different amount of family and friends.  As long as you get a venue to fit everyone that it doesn’t and you can stay in your budget feeding them all then you can invite as many people as you want. 

Wedding Colors- A lot of people pick their colors by which time of year there getting married.  I got married in October so I chose Orange and brown, my sister got married and September so she chose summer clothes such as bright pink and orange.  On theknot.com it gives you many different colors to help you choose the right colors for your wedding.  You can have as many colors as you want.

Flower Girls-After looking into how many flowers girls your suppose to have I found out that you don’t even have to have them.  When it comes down to it’s your wedding and you can do it they why you want to right? It just means you’re going to have to buy two flower girl dresses and pay for two girls to get their hair done. 

 Maid of Honor- I found out that everyone is different and you can definitely two.  What if you had two best friends that are there for you whenever you need someone to talk to or a shower to cry on?

Decorations- After spending a lot of research I found out that you can do as much decorations on a small budget as you can on a large budget.  You may have to try a little harder to find what you want at a lower price but it’s possible.  A site that I found was very affordable and nice quality merchandise was Oriental Trading.  I also learned if you watched for the flyers in the Bangor Daily News there was normally an Ac Moore flyer that had a 50 % off one regular priced item coupon.  I also realized that making your own flowers would save you tons of money and look just as good as the ones that people have professionals do and the artificial ones you will have forever. 

Food-What I thought was going to be the biggest expense to our wedding turned into almost the cheapest.  Before I bought anything I did some research to see where I could get what I needed for cheaper.  I did find out that Wal-Mart was the cheapest place to get your meat and Sam’s Club was the cheapest place to get your vegetables, butter, and salt and pepper just because you could buy everything in bulk.

Process Essay

There is a process I take every time my house needs to be clean.  How I start cleaning my house all depends on what has to be done.  If laundry has to be done then I start that first.  Then from there I move onto dishes.    From there I go onto the biggest part of cleaning, washing the floors.  To me it’s the worst part of cleaning but it has to be done right?  Don’t get me wrong there are many more steps in between but they are just little things that only take a few minutes to do. When I start out cleaning my goal is making the house look and smell   a lot better than it did before I started. 

                I start with the laundry first since I don’t normally do laundry everyday and by the time I do it  we  have at least three loads to do.  The first step I take  when I wash laundry is filling the washer with cold water.  As it’s filling with water I add a cup of purex laundry detergent.  I put the laundry detergent in before I put the clothes in so it gives time for the water and soap to mix up and from my experience you get more bubbles which means cleaner clothes right?    After the washer is filled with water I add the clothes and wait about 20 minutes for the clothes to be washed and put what can go in the dryer in the dyer, and stuff that needs to be put on a drying rack on the rack.  For example jeans, sweatshirts and certain shirts.    I start the laundry first since it takes the longest to do. 

                My second step to cleaning the house is doing the dishes.  I start by plugging one side of the sink to keep the water from draining.  I leave the other side empty so I can rinse the soap off the clean dishes.  After the sink is full I take my 30 oz of ultra gain soap and add a dime size about to the side with the water.  I put all the dirty dishes left side of the side which is the side next to all the water.  I put a couple of different dirty dishes in at a time.  After I wash them I put them in the side without water till I have enough to rinse.  After I rinse them I put them in the drying rack until they are ready to be put away.   

                My final step to cleaning my house is washing the floors.  First I start by moving all the furniture that can be moved.  From there I sweep the entire floor to make sure I’m not just pushing the dirt around.  Once the floor is sweep I get into my closet and get my wet jet and wet pads that on the bottom on the wet jet.  After I have the wet pad on the wet jet I wash the entire floor.  Once that is dry I put all the furniture back. 

                It doesn’t sound like a lot of work but it definitely is.  Laundry is the worse part just because you have to fold it as soon as it comes out of the dryer so you don’t it lying around everywhere.  It doesn’t normally take me to long to do dishes since I don’t allow the sink to get to full before I wash them.  To me a sink for of dishes makes your house look ten more dirty then it really is.  After the floor is washed it looks like a brand new floor. Once I’m doing cleaning, my house smells awesome and my goal is accomplished.  

In Class example Essay

I’ve always wondered how anyone can live without a dog.   I have grown up with dogs all around me but I must say I have had three favorite dogs.   There were a golden retriever named Fred an Austrian shepherd named Bumpy and a Pomeranian named Zoe.    Don’t get me wrong I loved all my dogs I’ve just had my favorites.  There are many reasons why there were my favorite dogs.  All of them but one has passed away. 

                Fred also known as Freddy I had when I was a little girl.  He was a gift from my uncle.  He was my very first dog.   Fred was very good with us he practically let us to whatever we wanted to with him which doesn't really surprise me golden retrievers are normally good with kids.  When I got home from school he would be waiting at the door for us to come in.  He would chase us around the yard and we use to think it was funny.   He knew when I was upset and would come to comfort me he lived a long and happy life. 

                Bumpy was a real family dog and loved to be around people.   He was definitely an active dog and liked running around outside.  We would go outside every day that it wasn’t raining and of course doing the winter and I would throw him his Frisbee.  He was almost as bad as a kid he liked to be cuddled and always had to be touching me when he laid down and never liked to be out of my sight.  About two years ago on the day after Christmas we had some friends show up and he was excited and jumping around like he normally did and all of a sudden he just dropped dead.  No one knows what happen they say it could have been something he was born with. 

                Zoe is only a 10 pound dog so she hasn’t very big but she has a heart of old.  She isn’t as active as most dogs but she gentle with little kids. She   lives with my parents now since I got married and moved out but when I lived home she would always like sitting in the chair with me during the day when I did homework or was just watching TV.    Zoe wasn’t my dog she is my sisters.  My grandparents gave it to her for her birthday, so it’s a big part of our lives.  Both of my grandparents passed away and that’s all we have left of them. 

                Those are a few reasons why those dogs were my favorite.  Dogs leave a big spot on your hearts even after they are gone.  I have learned a lot from my dogs such as they have a lot of energy to burn and are a lot of work but they are worth every minute of your time no matter whether they are a 10 pound dog or a 70 pound dog.  I never realized how much a dog could feel like your kid until recently.  My husband and I just bought a golden doodle and definitely feels like our kid and is as much work as a kid.  We buy him toys all the time and never leave him home alone. 

Example Essay 2

When my husband and I moved into together after we got married I did a lot for him.  I cooked him supper every night, I made sure he had clean clothes and if we needed something I would make sure he got it.  From much of my surprise he now thinks I’m going to do everything for him.

                What started off by just cooking for my husband every night to make a good impression since it was the first time we had lived together but much to my surprise he now expects me to cook for him every night? It’s just not small meals that he expects either it’s a big four course meal. 

                Another surprise that I’ve had since I’ve been married is doing his laundry.  I’ve started off by doing his laundry just because I wanted to make sure he had clean clothes to work in and he’s never done laundry himself since his mother has always done it.    That was a big surprise to me; he’s 24 and has never done his own laundry. 

                Weather he needed me to look for something that he couldn’t find or just running to the store to get something that he needed I would do it.  Again it was mostly because we had just moved in together and I wanted to make a good impression.  Have you ever heard of the saying looking with your eyes closed?  Well I think that’s how he looks.  For example our food cupboard is full of food and my husband was looking for chips and they were right there in front of him but yet he still couldn’t find them and I had to get up and get them for him. 

                I guess I have a lot to learn when it comes to doing everything for your husband.  Maybe I should have talked to my sister who had just got married a month before us and moved in with her husband.   Maybe she could have told me thing to do and not to do, or maybe it’s just going to be something that I will have to learn on my own.

Example Essay

Who knew there could be so many surprises after you get married?  Not all good surprises either.  My husband and I decided not to live together until we got married and let’s just say  there were a couple of things about my husband that I didn’t know  and was quite surprising  to me. 

                One of my biggest pet peeves is being late, I don’t care if I’m half an hour early as long as I’m not late, it’s better to be early then late right?.   Well come to find out my husband is the opposite.   He likes to be there a minute before were suppose to be there.    He will wait right up to the last minute to get ready which really surprises me because before we were married he was always on time.

                Another think that surprised me was how messy he was.   I could spend all day cleaning up the house to make sure it was spotless including picking up laundry that was laying on the floor and washing all the dirty laundry and  as soon as he gets home he leaves his jacket lying around on the table, and changes into new clothes and leaves his dirty ones lying on the floor.    It surprises me because before we were married he always said that he hated a dirty house.

                One of the biggest things that surprise me is how much he likes to play his video games.   Before we were married he never said anything about playing video games.  I knew he had an Xbox 360 but didn’t think he actually played it anymore.  Every night before he goes to bed he has to play it and I think if he had more free time he would play it more. 

                When it all comes down to the end all of this surprises that I can’t live with, who knows maybe with time he will start picking up after himself.   Maybe his mother always picked up after him.  And I guess the video games aren’t a big deal as long as it doesn’t turn into a big thing.  I suppose after working all day I can pick up after him and let his play his video games.  

Contrast Essay

Well I have been living with my husband for about three weeks and been married for a little over a week.  As one of the first things to get as husband and wife we decided to get a dog.  I’ve always wanted a golden doodle which is a mix between a golden retriever and a poodle and my husband didn’t care what we got so we got a golden doodle.  His name is Gunner.  After spending just one day with him I noticed a huge difference in the way a golden doodle and Austrian Shepherd which my parents have act.

                My golden doodle is four months and doesn’t do much. He just likes cuddle, he has to always been in eye sight view.   My parents Austrian Shepherd is a year and half and is always hyper.  The Austrian shepherd barks at everything.   If he hears a little noise he barks, when he sees someone walking by the house he barks.  He also likes to be outside all the time.

                Another difference between a golden doodle and Austrian shepherd is that a golden doodle is more laid back and calm and just likes to lie around.   Austrian shepherd is dog you have to have to run a lot.   If they don’t run a lot they get hyper and run around the their house jumping on stuff. 

                Finally the biggest difference I noticed was that a Austrian shepherd is more protective.  With a golden doodle you can touch other kids and they don’t go after the child to make sure your not hurting him or her. With my parents Austrian shepherd if you were to pick a kid up even if it was just to hold them or give them a hug he will jump on the child and sometimes he even bites them trying to get them away from adults. 

                Maybe all the differences are because of the age difference and maybe our golden doodle is just getting to know his new environment since we’ve only had him for a day and a half.  And who knows maybe he will get more energy and will like to run around outside more.  

Isearch Progress Report

I actually didn’t know I was writing it I wrote my classification and was told that it would also work for my isearch.  After looking at it I am satisfied with it.  My research plan is working very well and im finding a lot of my answers.  I’m starting to understand the whole Isearch thing now, well at lease I think I am.

For Friday-Online Students Only

How I trained my two dogs to stay in the yard, not to bark all the time and not to jump.  I have two dogs ones a 70 pound Austrian shepherd and the other a 10 pound Pomeranian.  The Austrians shepherd name is Trapper and the Pomeranian‘s is Zoe.  Trapper is 1 year old and Zoe is 10. 

                I have always been interested in training dogs and my dogs definitely needed some training so I did some research and found a couple of ways to train your dog not leave your yard.   I searched online how to keep your dogs in the yard and found an interesting tip.   It said to put a leash on your dog and walk them around the edges of your yard.   It said to repeat it a couple of times. 

                On the same website I found out another interesting tip.  I found out that dogs bark for a reason.  It may be annoying at times but there are many reasons why they bark for instance they bark because it’s a warning/ alert that something may be wrong, they bark because of anxiety. They bark when they’re excited and bored.  After reading about how important it is for them to bark I realized I could deal with it.

                We have had a couple of accidents with our Austrian Shepherd jumping on people when they first walk into our house. Trapper isn’t a small dog so if the visitors weren’t ready he would really knock them over.    This is why I decided to find out how to keep it from jumping.  The first thing I learned was never to reward your dog after jumping.  I also learned that when you dog jumps on you to turn you body the other way and do not make eye contact.  You can also try saying down instead of sit down because when you say sit down there going to think you want them to lie down and of course there not going to want to lay down when they’re excited. 

                I’m happy to say after training trapper he no longer left the yard even when people were walking by even when little kids would ride by on their bikes and that was a big problem before I started training him.   He still barked but after knowing why he barked it didn’t bother me as much.  He still jumped once in awhile when he got really excited but was nothing like he was before I started training him.   As for Zoe I think she might have been too old to train she wouldn’t stay in the yard but she didn’t bark too often and she never jumped on people.  

Classification Essay #2

In my four months of planning a wedding a being in two different weddings I have realized the wedding gown is the most important part of a wedding to the women.  There are many different styles of wedding gowns for example there is A-line, fit-n-flare and mermaid. 

             If you shaped like an hour glass and have a big chest, big hips and tiny waist then A-line is going to look the best on you.  A-line is going to show off you figure.  The A-line dress is fitted around the hips and flows out to the ground.  A-line can hide a rounder lower body. 

            Mermaid style is a sexier style that highlights your curves.  It fit tightly to just below you hips then flares out.  Normally people who are confident with their body and are slender, short and even tall women can pull this dress off.

            Another wedding gown style is a Ball gown.  A Ball gown has a full skirt it can be either one piece or separate.  Slender and pair shaped women can pull the ball gown off best.   The ball gown is normally for traditional weddings and can be paired with either a long veil or white long gloves. 

            After researching different kinds of wedding gowns I have found out which style is good for my body type.  I learned which dress is going to show off my body the most.   Knowing all of this is going to help me find the perfect wedding gown and made my wedding day perfect.  

Intro # 2 Contrast Essay

How can a mother and daughter act so different but it some ways be so much alike?   They both do all they can do help people that need help.  They are both widowed and know how it feels to live alone.  But they are two totally people when it comes to thinking about how others are going to feel before they say things.  One could careless how they make someone feel.  When I’m with her and she says stuff to make people feel bad it makes me feel bad for that person.    I guess with age you figure out just to go with the flow and her daughter will hopefully learn that soon enough.  

Intro # 1 Contrast

I couldn't help but write about two sisters. I’ve known them both for quite awhile.  They look just alike and have lived in the same town all their lives.  They are both married and have kids.  They both work for a living ones a school secretary and when works in a bank.  Even though they are sisters and both look alike they act totally different.  They have two totally different attitudes.  One sister has more of an attitude that there better than everyone else and likes to start rumors.  The other sister is more laid back and just goes with the flow and doesn’t try to be better than everyone else.  Sometimes it just amazes me how different two sisters can be.  

Classification Essay

             Who knew planning a wedding would be so much work?  Everyone said that it wasn’t going to easy and that it would be stressful at times.   I told them that they were crazy and that I could have it planned in 4 months.  Let’s just say it wasn’t as easy as I thought and it was definitely stressful at times, but don’t get me work I wouldn’t change a thing.   There’s a lot that goes into planning a wedding for example finding a florist that you can afford but still does a awesome job, choosing your wedding colors and finding the perfect dress.       I have found that trying to plan a wedding on a small budget is hard.  You want you’re wedding to be one that no one will ever forget but you still want to stay within your budget because when the day comes, it’s not about how much money you spent, it’s about whether or not your day was what you dreamed it would be.

Complete Cause Essay

Ever plan a wedding in 4 months? It’s definitely not the easiest thing in the world and is stressful at times but in the end it will all be worth it.   My boyfriend and I chose to get married in October because fall is my favorite season.  Let me make it clear that it wasn’t that easy to convince my boyfriend that October was a good time to get married.  See he’s a big hunting man and doesn’t like skipping hunting but where it was only bird season I was able to talk him into it.  I love the cool weather and beautiful colors of the leaves in October. That brings us to why we chose orange for our weddings colors and not to mention that it will match the colors of the leaves when we take outdoor photos.    It worked out good because that was my boyfriends favorite color so we didn’t have to argue about that.     My sister is actually getting married 28 days before me and she chose orange as one of her colors to.  Hers was more of a bright orange then what I chose.  Don’t get me wrong though it was still a beautiful color.  My boyfriend was looking for a job out of state since there are not many job opportunities around here and it would have been hard and very stressful to plan a wedding and live out of state.   We had already been engaged for over a year and could afford to plan a wedding so we decided there was no better time to do it. 

            Don’t get me wrong this whole planning thing hasn’t been easy.   When we first started planning our wedding I was stressed about everything.   For instance what are some fall wedding colors? How much should we set for a budget? And how many people should we invite.  After doing a lot of research I found a website that that tells you everything you need to know about a wedding.   It even has a countdown to your wedding.   It was definitely that most helpful site that I’ve found in a long time.  Next time a friend gets married I will be able to help her out from being stressed and help enjoy her wedding planning more than I did when we first started out.

Outro Graf

So I finally figured out where to go to find all the answers to my questions.  It’s a website called The Knot.  The website is awesome it gives you wedding color ideas, example of flowers and cakes.  It also gives you ideas of songs for your first dance, cake cutting, and anniversary and even for when you throw the bouquet and garter.  The website even gives you vendors in your area.  The biggest thing that helped me was the checklist that they had on the website.  I was so overwhelmed with everything and was afraid I was missing important stuff that we needed.   I wish I would have found this website a lot sooner it would of  made wedding planning simple and helped me from stressing.   Next time a friend gets married I will be able give her ideas and tell her about the website and help keep her from stressing.  You only get married once and you don’t want to stress the whole time you want to enjoy it.   

Reaction to sample classification

I read about the girl that worked for Mountain Springs.  Her job was to call people and offer free water testing to qualified home owners.  I’m a shy kind of person so this job definitely wouldn’t be a job for me.  I hate when they call me so I wouldn’t want to call anyone and bug them.  I would also think that when she told the customers that it was free that they would realize nothing is free and that there’s always a cost for everything.  I wouldn’t be able to sit down in a office all day and call people I’m more of a person that likes to be outside or doing something physical.  I don’t know how she deals with all the rude people that she talks to throughout the day. I don’t understand why people just can’t say there not interested instead of being rude and pretending they can’t hear them.   I did learn something from the story though.  I learned to research the businesses more when I apply places.

My reaction on the previous assignment was that it was kind of confusing.  I know you had to answer three questions for both the intro 1 and intro 2.  I thought in the outro draf you just had to add intro 1 and 2 together and add a ending. Once again I was wrong.   There were a couple of times that I thought to myself did I make the right decision about this?  For instance did I chose the right colors for the bridesmaids dresses? Should I have had the maid of honor in a different color?  And will the entire orange clash together?

Isearch Plan

I plan on looking for my answers online and in magazines.  I can see myself running into a couple of problems such as finding out what an appropriate budget is since everyone’s income is different and some people can afford more than others.  Another problem I see myself running into is can I have two flower girls? I Know you should have at lease one but it two to many? Since my wedding is only a month away there will be some answers to the questions that I already know.  

What you already know about your isearch question

I have looked into where I can find a cheaper dress and I have found a couple of places that have some cheaper dresses, but when I mean cheaper I mean $ 50 cheaper.   Then I would have to travel an hour to get fitted every time it had to be done so in the long ride it was just as cheap to get one from the town I’m from and pay a little more.  Every wedding I have been to has had flower girls, but not all of them has had a ring barrier.  After looking at the average price that people pay for their wedding I’ve noticed that I should try to stay around $10,000.  I know it’s suppose to be a special day and you  only have one but I also believe that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars to make it special.

I don’t have much of a back ground for weddings.   I was actually a flower girl when I was little but don’t remember much of it.   Last year I was in a wedding and I have to admit there was a lot about weddings that I didn’t know.  I knew that the bride had a bridal shower where she gets gifts from pots and pans to home décor.  I learned that the maid of honor is the one that usually throws the bridal shower for the bride.  I also learned that they have a rehearsal and a rehearsal dinner for everyone in the wedding party.   The two weddings I have been to have been totally different, one of them that I went to everyone was there long enough to eat and see the first dance and garter toss, and there was no dancing which I thought was a big part of a wedding.  The 2^nd one I went to there was a lot of people and everyone ate and stayed for a long time to dance and have fun.   There is a lot of planning that goes into a wedding from which DJ to choosing   what kind of cake  you want.

I read falling in love.  There were parts that I agreed with and there were parts that I disagreed with.  I agree dishonesty is a big problem in relationships.  There are times when people keep important things to their self’s because they know it would have a big impact on their relationship.  But at the same time it will bother them to keep it all in.   I also agree that every relationship starts off wonderful, going out all the time, getting butterfly’s every time you see each other.  I disagree  that it usually ends in pain.  I have been with my b/f for almost 7 years and am just as happy and in love now as I was when we first got together.  I have learned that in every relationship that you both have to work to keep the spark going.

Something that I’ve had to really research is weather or not I should buy a new car.  I already had a car that worked but had a couple or problems that would cost around $500 to fix.  First of  all I had to think about which kind of car I wanted that I could afford and that fit my lifestyle.  Do I travel a lot? Do I need a car good on gas? Another thing I had to think about was how much insurance would be and could I afford it and still be able to go out and have fun.   Do I really want a monthly payment.

                After I thought about it all I decided I would pay the $500 to get my old car fixed it’s good on gas and I don’t have any monthly payments.

When I noticed I had to write about a person I knew right away who I was going to write about.  My mom is my hero. Whenever I'm in trouble she’s there to help me, weather its guy trouble or just needing someone to vent to. 
My mother is the best mom anyone could ask for. I'm not an only child so things can get very expensive and even though we aren’t made of money she tries her best to give us everything we want and need.  She works long hours to make sure we have food on the table and all the other necessities we need.  Whenever I'm sick I can count on her to take care of me.

Do you have an object that means more to you than anything in the world? I actually have a couple of very special objects.   My grandfather passed away July 2, 2010 and 9 months later my grandmother passed away.   They were the only grandparents I have had since I was little.   With the pants that my grandfather had we have a teddy bear made out of it.  I keep it next to my bed and every time I look at it I think of him and all of them memories that I have of him.   My grandmother had silk pants that I had a garter and handkerchief made out of it.  The garter means a lot to me; I’m getting married in October and wanted to have something of hers to have with me.

Ever had a place you could go when something was bothering you or you just need to be alone for awhile? I do, it’s a place where no one else knows about.  It’s nothing special; it’s just a little rock by the river.  But it’s a place where I can go that’s quite. The good part is that where it’s by the river I can take a fishing pole and go fishing whenever I want.  The only bad thing is that I have to walk about a mile to get there, and it’s not somewhere you can go during the winter.

The Isearch paper I read was about a little boy that didn’t have a desire to talk.  They were concerned  that they weren’t doing everything that they need to help him verbally.  I  agree I would be concerned also if my almost three year old wasn’t talking much, but I also think that now a day’s people see all of these or kids talking and doing all kinds of stuff earlier than normal and think that there kid should be too.  Sometimes I think the parent’s try to hard to get them to talk, walk or whatever they want them to do that they don’t realize that they will do everything on their time and when they’re ready.   I have a friend that had the same problem except she wasn’t saying anything.  She had a little girl that was 2 ½ that wasn’t talking and everyone thought she should be.  She also brought her to the pediatrician and they told her the same thing that it wasn’t anything to worry about right now.  A lot of her problem was that she wasn’t around  little kids, she was alone with her grandmother all day and didn't hear a lot of people talking.
